Joanne Wang

So over the weekend i did a shoot with Joanne Wang. It was Joannes first time modeling. Tiffany Abeyta had done her hair and make up, and i must say it was one of the most artistic shoots I've worked on. I was fortunate enough to have my dad's office building available as a dressing room and a location to take pictures.

fashionable

We got to LA at around 11 and didn't start taking pictures until 1 or 2. It was fun though, hair and make up took forever, but Tiffany did a GREAT job! We used the garage and the front of his office for the first look. It was very dirty, but it went with the look. We went to the front of the office and took some pictures there and it was really fun, Joanne worked with the camera and did a good job modeling.

I was trying to go for a different type of look, more fashion photography type of stuff and i think i accomplished it. I was pretty impressed with the result and it motivated me to do more and more shoots likes these.

So we were really under time because it was my dads birthday and I had to be at his apartment at a certain time, so the day was a rush. After taking pictures in the front we went to the roof, where i thought i got the BEST pictures of the day.

sun face

theres no denying that Joanne made this picture happen. Its like her and the sun tagged team and made this picture look incredible. I am proud of taking a picture like this, and i really am amazed every time i look at it. I mean we were on the roof and Joanne was just giving me her all.

I also like the clothes she brought, it was PERFECT for the look. Every bit of clothing was hers and they looked pretty cool. Then the prop she brought the umbrella was also pretty creative. The roof was very motivating because everything on it was just perfect. Even considering that it was suppose to rain.

Then we rushed to the Union Station, which by that time it was already sundown and it was dark inside the station. But we literally ran and sat on the couches and took pictures, while everyone was staring and whistling at Joanne. It was creepy.

but Joanne didn't care, she went with it.

then after that we literally ran all the way to the subway and took some pictures there and those came out pretty cool, despite the fact the horrible lighting made it super complicated to take a still photo.

subway

but we got really good pictures there! and straight up Joanne was laughing once the train was there, but then it was about to leave and i told her to be serious and within a second she fastened up. I was like, damn she's really good.

then we went off to the tunnel on 2nd street and that was a little complicated, only because just about every other car howled and whistled at me. No i'm kidding, they were preying on Joanne like she was a piece of meat. But she kept her cool, which was pretty awesome. And we got some really really good pictures.

overall the photoshoot was a success, everything i wanted to achieve was achieved and thanks to a great team with Joanne and Tiffany, i don't think it could have been done with out them!
